Amy Started in January 2020 with Outside the Box, after having been in Employment Services for people with disabilities for over twenty years.
Amy is a Certified Employment Support Professional and has been awarded the Professionalism Award by the Indiana Association Supporting Employment for People First (INAPSE).
Amy loves OTB’s commitment to looking outside the box for ideas and solutions, and especially feels aligned with OTB’s welcome culture where EVERYONE has a voice and a seat at the table.
She absolutely loves people, especially those who are differently-abled. Her first job was working in a group home, and she was hooked. She’s been in love with this population since she started working in the field 10 years ago. Emily received her degree from BYU-I in Recreation Therapy. She has experience in wilderness therapy, para-education, and the arts. Emily is originally from Washington State, and is a huge fan of the outdoors. She makes too many terrible puns, is very active in her church, and volunteers in the youth program every week. She loves to spend her time with her husband and daughter doing things together on the river, in the mountains, or in the kitchen whipping up some magical treats.
