Executive Director
Michelle Miller has been with Outside the Box since 2017, previously serving as the Director of Development. As Executive Director, Michelle oversees all aspects of operations, planning, budgeting, and program implementation. Michelle has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Additionally, she has over twenty-one years experience in fundraising, event planning, and alumni relations. Michelle has also been involved in Capital Campaigns for Culver Academies, Purdue University, and The Orchard School.
Associate Director
Ashlee started her journey with Outside the Box (OTB) in 2010, as a part-time staff member. During Ashlee's time at OTB, she was a Secondary Facilitator, Primary Facilitator, and Staff Support Specialist, along with running the After School Program and Summer Camps.
Ashlee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Indiana University, as well as a Registered Behavior Technician certification while practicing Applied Behavior Analysis therapy with another service provider. Ashlee returned to OTB in September, 2021, as a Career Support Specialist, before transitioning to her role as Associate Director.
Ashlee is passionate about OTB's mission, and looks forward to helping foster the continued growth of the organization.
During Ashlee's free time, she enjoys attending Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University games, going to concerts, spending time with family, and taking care of her dog, Penny.
Staff Support Specialist
Lisa has been part of the OTB family since 2017, starting out as a primary facilitator for the Grasshopper’s. In just a little over a year’s time she was promoted to Staff Support Specialist. Lisa has over 17 years of experience in the serving field with an employment history of working in memory care, hospice, as well as private duty home health aide.
Lisa is an altruistic individual who’s never met a stranger. Lisa has three beautiful daughters, a handsome son, and a pup (Miniature Yorkie) by the name of Drako.

Staff Support Specialist
Anthony Brown, Staff Support Specialist, with over fifteen years of experience in leadership, working, and volunteering in recreational sports and ministry. Anthony’s experience in recreational sports managing three teams with a host of coaches and volunteers. Anthony’s leadership abilities, dedication, and faith in God opened the door of opportunity allowing him to step through it, being ordained and installed as the Senior Pastor of Mt. Calvary FWBC. His primary focus is lifting his family, community, and social relationships fostering an atmosphere for success. This focus allows Anthony to educate and empower the people he serves directly. Anthony attended Indiana Business College & Indiana Wesleyan University earning two Associate of Science Degrees in Business and Ministry Administration.
Anthony is a powerful force in the workplace and uses his attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. Anthony is inspired daily by agape love, family, friends, and faith. Anthony loves to study, go to the movies, and play online video games with his children.
Coordinator of Business Operations
Toni joined Outside The Box in 2013 as the first Administrative Assistant. Through the years she has worn "many hats" including Group Facilitator and numerous administrative tasks. In 2021, she became the Coordinator of Business Operations. She has over 20 years of Human Resource experience with 15 years of Management & Supervisory roles. Toni is very service-minded fully believing in the mission of OTB.
She resides in rural Indiana where she has raised five amazing children - All who have volunteered at OTB.
Recreation Therapist
She absolutely loves people, especially those who are differently-abled. Her first job was working in a group home, and she was hooked. She’s been in love with this population since she started working in the field 10 years ago. Emily received her degree from BYU-I in Recreation Therapy. She has experience in wilderness therapy, para-education, and the arts. Emily is originally from Washington State, and is a huge fan of the outdoors. She makes too many terrible puns, is very active in her church, and volunteers in the youth program every week. She loves to spend her time with her husband and daughter doing things together on the river, in the mountains, or in the kitchen whipping up some magical treats.
