OTB is a Charity Organization does not receive tax support and is governed by a Board of Directors

 - Each board member brings an applicative wealth of knowledge and expertise to our non-profit organization. The Board offers professional expertise across a multitude of specialties. Outside The Box relies on the Board to make critical decisions that allow OTB to reach our vision and maintain sustainable business practices


Valerie Brennan

Board Chair/President : As a principal with a large accounting firm, Valerie's knowledge as a CPA and entrepreneur brings a keen sense of fiscal responsibility and sustainability to the organization. Her areas of expertise include developing financial planning strategies. As a Managing Director with CBIZ, Inc, a national accounting and financial services firm, Valerie specializes in the areas of tax and financial planning. Her knowledge as a CPA and Personal Financial Specialist with over 30 years of experience allows her to bring a focus on financial responsibility and sustainability to the organization.  

Rhon Tranberg

Board/Chair Vice President : For over 31 years, Rhon has worked with BI Worldwide in the inspiration and performance industry helping Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 clients driving engagement, motivation, and business results. He has been in involved in the implementation of solutions within the employee, sales channel and consumer space, working with Global clients, crossing many vertical markets. Certified in Applied Behavior Economics, he partners with associates and clients to understand the gaps between current performance and desired outcomes – Rhon is an amazing asset as we seek to advance our operations.

Anne Davis

Board Secretary : Anne is an experienced servant leader with a demonstrated record of excellence at state and local levels in education and disability services. Anne’s expertise includes systems design and innovation, quality monitoring, leadership development, special education, and disability services. Anne began her career in education, eventually serving as Indiana’s state director of special education and later in leadership at the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services. Anne is passionate about providing people-first advocacy for the individuals she serves in her role as Vice President of InSights/ViaQuest Community Solutions. 

Kelly Perry

Board Treasurer : Kelly is a tax manager at Watermark CPA Group working with small businesses and individuals. She serves with Concerts for a Cause, and is the past Treasurer of Greater Indianapolis Impact 100, a collective women’s giving groups serving non-profit businesses in Marion and surrounding counties. She is also a group facilitator for Brooke’s Place, an organization that provides grief support for children and young adults that have lost a loved one. Kelly lives in Carmel and enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, traveling, working out, trying new restaurants, and doing volunteer work.

Trent Barnes

Trent Barnes joined The Arc Master Trust in April 2014. This business offers families and people of all disabilities an experienced, professional option for special needs trust administration, allowing resources to be save and easily used for qualified disability and personal expenses. As a trained social worker, Trent assists beneficiaries who may not have anyone in their lives to help access their trust, servicing beneficiaries to get to the store to purchase items with funds from their trust, assistance in addressing housing and benefit issues, along with many other supports.

Debbie Bopp

Experienced Practice Management Director with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry. Debbie is skilled in Physician Relations, Physician & APP Compensation, Practice Management, Financial Management, Strategic Planning, and Healthcare Consulting. She is a strong healthcare professional with a Masters Degree focused in Health Administration from Indiana University Bloomington.

Laura Carroll

Laura Carroll is a construction management professional and proud board member of OTB. With years of experience leading complex building projects, she brings a practical, solutions-focused perspective to the board. Laura is passionate about creating inclusive communities and ensuring that built environments serve people of all abilities.

Gerald Bush

Gerald is an influential and highly successful Human Resource Consultant with several years of experience delivering consultative HR approaches with personal integrity, leading critical evaluations, communicating effectively across all levels of the organization, and managing innovative HR initiatives. He understands what it takes to conduct critical evaluations, develop consultative business solutions, and recommends programs that align with the mission and vision of a corporation. Gerald demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively convey complex information to business leaders across multiple locations.

Dave Pardo

David is an attorney with over 30 years of experience. He has worked in private practice in the areas of employment law, commercial law, and general business litigation. He also served in state government in a variety of positions, including as chief counsel for the Indiana Civil Rights Commission and as an administrative law judge.

Marty Post

Marty brings a unique perspective, especially as a long term donor and supporter of Outside the Box with more than 20 years of successful experience in sales and management in pharmaceutical and biotechnology-related products and services, 

Anthony "Tony" S. Ridolfo, Jr.

Tony is an attorney with over 20 years of experience. He is a partner at Hackman Hulette LLP and practices in the area of business, real estate, and complex business litigation; handling business disputes with a concentration on non-competes, trade secrets, shareholder litigation, franchise disputes, and fiduciary and contract claims. 

Kimberly Rusununguko, LCSW

Kimberly P.  Rusununguko, LCSW is a strength based, compassionate and experienced social worker dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to overcome obstacles and achieve their fullest potential. With experience in several areas of social work, including, child welfare, hospital, community based, adoption and homebased therapy, she has made a meaningful impact through her innovative approaches that allows for clients to work through their trauma via several clinical modalities and by them exercising self-determination.

Kimberly's career in Social Work is defined by her unique ability to build personable, professional rapport with those she works with while also bridging interdisciplinary collaboration and client-centered care. She works diligently to support at-risk youth, led webinars on the importance of mental health wellness and facilitates a domestic violence support group at an area transitional living program. In addition in her role as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she provides home-based therapy to individuals who span a wide age range and economic backgrounds. She has also served as a Field Instructor for Social Work students during their internships.

Holding a Master’s in Social Work from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and a Bachelor of Science from Stockton University in her home state of New Jersey, she continues to participate in trainings to not only maintain her clinical license but also to keep abreast of trauma informed modalities as well as play therapy, with the goal of equipping clients to not only survive but to thrive in spite of their varied histories of trauma and behavioral health challenges.

Kimberly’s passion extends beyond her career—she enjoys being an active member of a national run club, volunteering as an officer and member of her area Special Olympics-MCNESO in support of one of her children, serving as a officer for Toastmaster’s Club 4083 and as a Chair of the International Awareness and Involvement committee for the Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Kelly Hartman

Outside The Box Co-Founder & Emeritus Director: As the former CEO of Insights Consulting (Now ViaQuest) and Co-founder of Outside the Box, Kelly's reputation as an innovative visionary and professional mentor is paramount to OTB's ongoing organizational development. Her leadership in the state and membership with the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services supports our continuing education in local, state and federal initiatives specific to our industry.
