OTB Career Services
OTB's Job Support Specialists are fully dedicated to helping each client increase independence by providing job exploration, training, procurement, job coaching, and follow-along services for individuals of all backgrounds and abilities by assisting OTB clients in accessing and succeeding in competitive employment positions.
We work closely with Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Services specializing in the following steps to assist our clients:
- DISCOVERY : Coaches evaluate the interests, abilities, and experience of each participant and tailor the services to fit their needs and wants. This assessment process is used to discover career goals that are the best match for the individual
- JOB DEVELOPMENT : Job coaches contact local businesses to find appropriate positions; Assisting the client with the completion of applications, development of a resume, and preparation for the job interview process
- JOB SUPPORT : Once a position is procured, OTB job coaches provide on-the-job support to the client. Coaches assist with onboarding and orientation as well as, gaining comfort in the workplace. The employment support coach also assists with learning the job requirements and facilitating natural supports with co-workers and supervisors
- EMPLOYMENT FOLLOW-ALONG SUPPORT : Coaches work with the client’s team to determine the need for follow-along services providing long-term support on the job. This process begins after the client has been stable on the job and their case is closed with Vocational Rehabilitation Services ... generally 120 days after placement. Follow-along support can continue indefinitely
